What the app does
MrBeans doesn’t record video itself — it helps you manage and deliver videos you already have.
- Pick a video from your Photos library (up to a few minutes).
- Enter one or more email addresses for the recipients.
- Choose the day it should arrive. We handle the rest.
How it works
- Pick an existing video. Use the Camera app or any other app you like. When you’re ready to send it later, open MrBeans and select that video from your library.
- Choose a day & recipients. Type recipient email addresses, pick a date from the calendar or holiday picker, and keep an eye on your monthly quota bar.
- We deliver for you. On the chosen day, MrBeans emails a private link with your message and a secure magic link so each recipient can watch the video.

📤 Upload a future video
- Start typing a recipient email, then tap “Add recipient” to include one or more addresses (separated by spaces).
- Write a short line of text for the email body.
- Pick a delivery date or holiday — no same-day deliveries.
- Select a video from your library. The app does not record; it just uses videos you already captured.
✏️ Sent messages
- See groups of messages you’ve scheduled or already delivered.
- Tap a thumbnail to play the video you sent.
- Badges show whether a message is queued, delivered, or failed.
- Edit details before delivery day, or delete if you change your mind.
🔒 Received messages
- Messages are locked until their delivery date — you’ll see a countdown until they unlock.
- On the Free plan, thumbnails and text are blurred; Pro and Family show everything clearly.
- Tap a thumbnail to watch, or tap the text snippet to see the full message.
- Use the eye or flag options to hide or report anything that doesn’t feel right.

Do recipients need the app?
No. Recipients just tap the email and watch on the web with a secure link. The iOS app is for senders who want an easy way to organize and schedule their messages.
How long do links last?
Links expire automatically after a short window to protect privacy. If someone loses access, you can always send them a fresh link from a new email.
Is my video compressed?
Yes. We transcode videos for fast, reliable playback while keeping the quality high enough to look great on phones and laptops.
Can families share a quota?
Yes. The Family plan pools a monthly quota across members. The app shows a single shared usage bar so you always know how much is left this month.
